Little Andy’s World
Thank you Antoine Lunsford for your generous donation of Little Andy, The Greatest Recess Monitor Ever books. Great story with beautiful illustrations! And be on the look out Little Andy’s next adventure in Oh No! There’s a Bully in our School!!!
Up With Books will open their second annual auction on November 3, 2018. Donations include American Girl, Old Sturbridge Village, 5 Wits, Chipotle, OtterBox, and more.
Up With Books has created a Book Nook at Brigid’s Crossing in Lowell. Brigid’s Crossing houses young mothers, primarily between the ages of 16 and 21. This new area makes books accessible for the moms to read to their children.
Each Friday throughout the summer we will be distributing books at the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Fitchburg.
Now that summer is here, we need to encourage children to keep reading. Many children struggle with the "Summer Slide" once school is out and they no longer have access to books. Six out of ten households do not buy a single book in a year. Having books in their homes is a good step toward avoiding the summer slide and sparking a desire to learn to read and to continue reading.

Thanks to all who came out to support us at the Pawtucket Red Sox game!
